Vintage Doomsday Deck List Analysis for 2023.03.05

It's been quite some time since the sideboards were this similar. Or so I thought until I saw that L4rss0n was playing 12 cards. Either it was a error on their part or the MTGO site, but I could not figure out which.

The Bauble and No-Bauble split is real. SenpaiBlank even tested one. I've been asked how I feel about it and it's hard to describe. It's easy to trim one for games two and three. It sets up some piles as well.

The Graveyard and Artifact cards in the sideboard being exactly the same tells me that everyone is focused on the other matchups. Tabernacle counts are slightly up. Everything else is kind of hard to tell because of the cards missing from L4rss0n's side, but generally not much is different.

Initiative Tinker being the current hot thing is quite interesting for Doomsday. It's not a terrible matchup, but interesting. The two plans of the deck can be tough for Doomsday is they execute the one that you are not ready to fight. Especially when they have the Initiative with some counterspell backup. I'm not sure Doomsday has to adjust its plans for this matchup, but rather recognize quickly which way the wind is headed and be prepared.
