Vintage Doomsday Deck List Analysis for 2021.02.22-28

It finally happened. Only one deck this week - and it was only the League! (And discoverN at that.) So let's look at it and think about the current metagame

League

Thoughts

No changes other than Tasigur coming back in for Necropolis Fiend. Perhaps it was just too costly? Or maybe it all depends on mood and feelings. So, bad week, low representation? What's up? Wizards does not post all decklists, but data is gathered. Saturday shows two people played it and Sunday does not seem to have had its data gathered. So let's assume low numbers again. But the summarization about Saturday says enough:
Most Played: BUG, Breach, Aggro Shops, Prison Shops, Dredge
Best WinRates among high play %: Breach, BUG

Breach is a difficult matchup for Doomsday already, and it seems Lurrus's unbanning has at least gotten people trying different variants of it, if not simply playing the builds that were doing well pre-unban. BUG has enough reach with Deathrite Shaman, and amazing built-in hate pieces in Leovold, Emissary of Trest and Narset, Parter of Veils. But if people aren't playing Doomsday, then obviously it can't place. We'll see what happens this weekend.
